Gene Affected
ABO: ABO blood group (transferase A, alpha 1-3-N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase; transferase B, alpha 1-3-galactosyltransferase)
Origin
This strain was established at Jichi Medical School.
Strain characteristics
This transgenic strain expresses the transferase B of the ABO blood group (transferase A, alpha 1-3-N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase ) driven by the CAG promoter. The majority of expression of the transgene is detected in the small intestinal mucosa. The transgene was found to have integrated into the Chr X.
Breeding Conditions
Good breeding performance.
